UNC Anesthesiology Well Represented at GAARRC 2009

Our residents, Drs. Megan Clinton, Megan Graybill, Elsje Harker, Scott McCulloch, Terel Newton, Atif Raja, and Daniel Runkle, were among the 116 presenters from across the South presenting at Gulf Atlantic Anesthesia Residents' Research Conference (GAARRC) the weekend of May 1-3, 2009.

All did an extraordinary job, and of three first place awards, UNC walked away with two of them! Congratulations to Dr. Megan Clinton for winning 1st Place for Best Case Report, and to Dr. Elsje Harker for winning 1st Place for Original Research. Of note, Dr. Newton's judge said his presentation was a perfect 10, and Dr. Raja was complimented with a job offer.

Our faculty, Drs. Susie Martinelli, Luke Lucas, Karamarie Fecho, and others, deserve high praise for their participation and mentoring!
